starcraft 2 strategy guide protoss - starcraft 2 zerg units wikiBasic Build Order For Zerg
This is the standard build order for Zerg players; don't use this build order if you intend to rush. This build will allow for a very early expansion and relies on speedlings and banelings for most of the early game.
First, get 10 drones and then build on overlord. When the overlord finishes pump 3 more drones and wait until you get 200 minerals so you can build the spawning pool. After you start the spawning pool make one extractor and put 3 drones on it, then just make drones until the spawning pool finishes. Also keep checking all the possible expansion spots and attack any new base he tries to build.
The key to winning as a Zerg player is controlling the mineral gathering of your opponent, while you expand. We can't compete with a Terran or Protoss player if we let them expand and tech. Plus air defense is our weakness so make sure you scout and if you see him going air then make corruptors as fast as possible.

Zerg Guide - How to Stop the Reaper Rush
Every time you play against Terran you must be ready for the dreaded reaper rush. This guide will show you how to beat a reaper rush without any trouble.
The worst thing you can do is build some spine crawlers as the Terran player will just have his reapers run just out of range and pick off your drones and buildings. The key to beating a reaper rush is the speed upgrade for zerglings. The reapers will come just in time to get run over by your speed upgraded zerglings. Get a few corruptors and stay away from mutalisks as marines make short work of a group of mutalisks. Take your corruptors and scout the Terran base to see if he is getting air or going ground. If you use these tactics you will no longer have to fear the dreaded reaper rush but instead invite it.

Zerg Guide - The Mutalisk Rush
This guide will show you how to perform a mutalisk rush with the intent of taking out your opponent's workers before they have any decent anti air. This strategy will work best against a Zerg player but it is also possible against Protoss. However, I would not recommend using it against a Terran player because marines do very well against mutalisks.
The key to this strategy is only building zerglings while you save all the gas you mine for the mutas. Pump out zerglings while you wait for the upgrade to finish and send them to harass the enemy. As soon as the lair finishes build a spire and try to build it behind your minerals so the enemy will not see it. If your mutalisk attack fails then you must switch to roaches or hydralisks right away as mutas do very poorly as a main fighting unit.

Terran Counter Unit Strategy
So you want to learn the correct Terran counter units? In this guide I will show you the basics of countering as a Terran player when playing against Zerg and Protoss. This a general guide and is meant as an overview of the Terran counter units.
First we will talk about playing against a Zerg player. The correct Terran counter unit for this attack is the hellion as it will do very good damage to groups of ground units like the zergling. Another attack the Zerg likes to use is the roach and hydro combo. The best Terran counter unit for this is the tank and thor combo as they will simply destroy the Zerg attack. A good Terran unit counter for this is again the tank and thor combo, just make sure you have a few marines in front to protect the tanks. The Protoss player may try using colossus or immortals. If you learn these Terran counter units you should have no trouble beating even a diamond ladder Protoss or Zerg player!
Protoss Vs Terran Basic Strategy
Playing as Protoss against Terran can be a very difficult game as Terran is so unpredictable and hard to scout. Protoss must know what the enemy is doing so they can build the correct counter units but this is a challenge against good Terran players. This guide will show you how to beat a Terran player 1v1.
If the Terran playing is using thors or tanks then build some immortals as they will dominate the thors and tanks without even taking that much damage. The Terran player might make an air attack with vikings and banshees. I wouldn't recommend building air units when playing against Terran because marines do decent damage to air units and that alone will be enough to defend against your void ray attack or even a few carriers.
If you follow this guide and learn the strengths and weaknesses of your units then you should have not trouble beating a good Terran player.
